iPhone XS / XS Max – iPhone XR

Tip: iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max and iPhone XR were presented in September. The first two with an OLED screen bring few aesthetic innovations compared to the iPhone X, while integrating various hardware improvements. iPhone XR, the most economical model, is presented in colored variants and with an LCD screen.

Latest release: iPhone XS and XS Max available from September 21st; iPhone XR from October 19th.

New device: The next iPhone will be released at the end of September 2019. The design line should be that of the iPhone XS and three models are planned (2 OLED, 1 LCD). A triple camera is also planned, at least on the Max model.

iPhone 7/7 Plus – iPhone 8/8 Plus

Tip: Presented respectively in 2016 and 2017, these two models are still part of the Apple list. iPhone 7 starts at $549, while iPhone 8 starts at $719. So these are two iPhones to consider if you don’t want to spend more, but by September they should go out of production.

Latest release: iPhone is available from September 2016, iPhone 8 from September 2017.

New device: From September 2019 they will no longer be produced by Apple.

iPad Pro

Tip: The new iPad Pro with a 12.9 and 11 inch screen and available from November 2018. Front without home button and with much thinner frames, a small revolution in terms of design. Apple also continues to sell the 10.5-inch model with classic design (not recommended).

Latest release: 7 November 2018 (5 June 2017, model 10.5″).

New device: The next iPad Pro will be released in the autumn of 2019. No aesthetic news is expected. The 10.5″ model could end up out of production by the end of the year.

iPad Air

Tip: The cheapest model of the Apple tablet line, able to satisfy the requests of most users. Compatible with Apple Pencil.

Latest release: 17 March 2019.

New device: The next iPad Air will be released in 2020.

iPad mini

Tip: iPad mini 5 with Retina display is available from March 2019 with Apple Pencil compatibility and Bionic A12 processor.

Latest release: 17 March 2019.

New device: Apple could release a new model only in the first half of 2020.

Apple Watch

Tip: The Apple Watch Series 4 was presented in September 2018. Display with thinner frames and greater visual space, decidedly more powerful hardware and ECG functions are the most important news.

Latest release: 21 September 2018.

New device: The Apple Watch Series 5 should be presented at the end of 2019.

iPod touch

New device: The next MacBook Pro will be available in 2019, probably before the summer.

New device: This line may no longer be updated, replaced by the new MacBook Air.

MacBook Air

Tip: After three years, Apple released a new MacBook Air with a 13-inch Retina screen, thinner frames and a thinner and lighter case. iMac

Tip: The new 21.5-inch iMac 4k and 27-inch iMad 5k were presented in March, and offer several hardware innovations for the processors and graphics card with Intel 8th and 9th generation processors and Radeon Pro Vega GPUs. No design changes. A new version of the iMac Pro is also available.

New device: The new iMacs will be released in 2020, probably with a new design.

Mac Mini

Tip: In 2018, after several years, Apple released the new Mac Mini equipped with Intel i3 quad core and Intel i5 or i7 with six cores, DDR4 RAM and Solid State Drive up to 2TB. The video card is the one included in the processor. It is made in sidereal gray and in recycled aluminum.

New device: the new Mac Mini should be available in 2020.

Mac Pro

Latest release: 19 December 2013. On 4 April 2017, 2013 models were released with new GPUs and upgraded processors.

New device: An important update (including design) is planned for 2019.

Apple TV
